This is a kind-of-short and sweet piece celebrating one of the two communities that God has blessed me with. I hope you like it.
I picked off this tweet below from somewhere and this is me just telling you about the beauty of having the right people to do life with.
There's just something about community that does it for me. A group of like-minded individuals that come together to create a space for love, growth and support to thrive, sign me up please!
A godly community is definitely unmatched in the sense that they're God's gifts to you, to be a safe place, your cheerleaders, your sounding boards, your prayer partners/warriors, your partners in destiny and purpose, among many others.
I'm sure you're wondering now, where am I supposed to find my own godly community? Well I'll have you know that God has a way of plugging His children and fortunate you, I'm here with a few tips and a juicy recommendation.
First up is prayer. Not many things can be a bigger flex than the fact that you can ask your Daddy for what you want right? So ask away, my dia, because you have the assurance that God go run am for you.
Post-prayer, keep an eye out for recommendations like this one and news about moderated community forums that are godly and check-all-the-necessary-boxes. In such safe spaces, God can even use it to connect you to a whole new set of beautiful, fire-branded friends that'll shape your journey through life significantly.
I'm not in so many communities (in the sense of a guided forum) and I didn't even know I was a 'community person' until I found myself there o.
The whole idea just came off as attractive to me and I tentatively took the step. I was already in one community at the time and I had been seeing updates about Young Saved and Beautiful (YSB) from some of my contacts but since I was already in something similar, I wasn't gingered to check it out. In fact, I didn't really think too much about it until I saw the flyer for their book club.
I attended the meetings and they were mind-blowing to be honest..the easy and friendly atmosphere, the clever puns and wordplay, the wig-dragging and table-shaking, and so much more. It was such a wonderful experience that I had to join in the main group. I did that last year and now I get the privilege to even serve in my own little capacity.
Now, YSB is turning 6 in a bit💃🏾 And we all can't keep calm. It's been six years of community and impact, and contributing immensely to the journey of so many young girls and God has been faithful.
The vision for this community was birthed through our mama Tobi Ogunfusika🤩 and it caters to young girls/ladies who are interested in growth and progress. There are no restrictions on location or anything (cause we global💃🏾) We have YSB Queens in Abuja, Lagos, Canada, Costa Rica, the United Kingdom etc so you're welcome!
When recording my video in commemoration of the anniversary, we were asked to describe YSB in one word and I chose to use 'home'. This is because this is literally what it promises and delivers on.
If you're a young lady (it's open to preteens, teens and youths) and you've been searching for community for a while now, here's an opportunity to join one that would benefit you greatly! To join, just reply this mail and I'll definitely plug you from there.
I tried to find the one that says 'Excited for YSB's 6th anniversary but for some reason it's not showing up here. You guys get the gist sha🌚
In summary, Happy Anniversary YSB! Cheers to more impact and expansion 💪
Hey guyss 🥰 It's been a bit, I know. Did you miss me? I've definitely missed you guys too.
Here's me officially telling you that I'm done with my exams so yayyy. I'll be coming in with some new editions so that's something to look forward to. Some of them have been stewing for a bit and some are fresh out of the oven but one thing is sure, expect nothing short of awesomeness🤩
I need to sign off now because I need to sleep well ahead of service later today. I know we'll both have a fabulous time in God's presence.
Write you soonest,
Mofeoluwa 💚
